My sweet sister-in-law gave our family the coolest gift this past Christmas! A seed sprouter!
Did you know??? Sprout studies show remarkable levels of B vitamins, as well as vitamins C, E and A (up to 15 times the original content!). Some people refer to sprouts as “pre-digested” food due to this breaking down process in the sprouting stage of life. This makes the sprouts far easier to digest than the original seed, bean, nut or grain. The heightened quantity of enzymes is another factor that aids in their digestion. These are just a few of the great reasons to consume sprouts!
Not only have we had fun watching the seeds sprout, (just a couple days) it’s way easy to do, and they taste good so my kids get really excited to eat them! I’m actually going to pick up another one just so we can have one set of trays to snack on, and one for salads and main dishes.
