I love oatmeal. Pretty much oatmeal anything. Oatmeal bars, cookies, scrubs,….
This is my favorite way to make oatmeal for breakfast:
- 1/2 cup oats (I use old fashion Quaker Oats)
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/2 apple diced
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1/8 cup chopped pecans
- 1 teaspoon good cinnamon
- 1 Tablespoon milled flax seed
- 1/2 Tablespoon pure maple syrup (or sweetener of choice)
- 1/4-1/2 cup non dairy milk of choice
Measure oatmeal and water into a microwave safe bowl and cook for around 1 min 25 sec. (depending on your microwave, you just want pretty much all the water absorbed into the oatmeal).
While the oatmeal is cooking, dice up the apples. When oatmeal is done cooking, fold in all the ingredients for the best tasting power breakfast ever!
